This is a charming idea for an unusual, delicate and very inexpensive way to create a subtle boundary, edge a path, or provide support for top-heavy flowers. Under certain conditions the willow branches (bought in bundles from the hardware store or collected from nature) may even sprout and create a natural barrier. Wouldn't that be pretty?

This brief description from Martha (yes, that Martha) describes the technique clearly and succinctly. However one feels about her personally, the format her magazine uses to provide information and instructions is excellent.
