Drying Flowers and Herbs
As the end of summer approaches, in addition to harvesting fruit and vegetables, it is time to harvest flowers as well. Half the fun of growing them is in making bouquets of beautiful blossoms, their vibrant colors sometimes muted into earth tones in the drying process, and then hanging the bunches artfully from a drying rack like this one or from the kitchen or keeping room ceiling, such comfort on wintry days. Maybe we could devise something to hang on the wall using Martha's willow twig technique Willow Branches and hang the bunches from that? If you try it, please send photos so we can all see.
