Raised Bed Gardening: Willow Branches
Say cool. I've never seen anything like this before: raised planting beds made out of willow branches. And the prices are not as expensive as using cedar. Be sure to use good soil!
The mastergardenproducts.com site is interesting. They have bamboo too. Readers' caveat: the site loads very slowly.

Garden Paths, Magical Walkways
Plan the path before planting the garden. Now is the time to address the structure of your outdoor space, whether a small scrap of nature or a large and lavish acre of green. We all love a path curving into another space hidden by shrubs and trees. It's not only inviting, but a garden path is also a way to create interest in an otherwise boring area. Sunset has a nice slide show of garden paths to excite your imagination. Follow the link.

Firefly Solar Path Lights
Ooooo, are these not very cool? Handblown, with amber lamps, these path lights have no wires. They "recharge" through the day to provide eight hours of light at night and come in several different styles: red swirl, blue finial and fuchsia finial besides the original firefly.
The first link gives a description of the calla lily light; the second shows Solar/Energy Savers' whole line of path lights. If you're interested in buying these for yourself or as a gift, be sure to Google the name and look at the wide variations in price. Being glass, they obviously are not appropriate for well-traveled paths in gardens where children play, but even in family gardens could be used as accent lights and in pots as long as they receive adequate sun. Prices I saw were under $100 for two.

LED Moonlight Torch Lighting
How about a swath of moonlight for your garden path? These and other lighting products from the Luna Series fixture line at Harvest Moon Lighting are an attractive change from the standard outdoor lights. We especially liked their simple, understated design.
